Enter our September contest to support Audubon’s Project Puffin and adopt your very own puffin for one year!
We love the cereal and we love the cause. Over the past seven years, Barbara’s Bakery has regularly contributed to Audubon’s Project Puffin conservation efforts. Through a program where customers can send in box tops and UPC codes as well as directly adopting 8 other puffins (the photo is of Peanut, a 26-year old male) the company has truly supported the effort to restore puffins to historic nesting islands in the Gulf of Maine.
Contest
After learning about this wonderful program, we’ve decided to support the cause by picking one lucky Trader Joe’s fan to "WIN" a puffin for a year. That’s right, you adopt your very own puffin, which you will name and get updates about for one whole year. In addition to sponsoring your puffin, you will receive a certificate of adoption, personal information on the animal and updates from the research team about your puffin’s behavior, nesting, and other activities.
To enter, send an email to puffin@traderjoesfan.com with the following information:
- Your name and email address
- Your Trader Joe’s Fan username (register now)
- Answer to ONE or more of the following questions:
- How many species of puffins are there in the world?
- How many eggs do puffins lay in one year?
- Can puffins fly?
We will randomly select a winner October 1st 2006 from all valid entries (one or more correct answers.) If you are selected, we will email you to get your mailing address for the adoption certificate as well as the name you would like to give your puffin. The winner will be posted on the website along with the puffin’s name and info.
