A great alternative to the unhealthy potato chip. Made from the cassava root plant, these chips are free from trans-fat and gluten, has twice the fiber as a regular potato chip, and contains 40% less fat than potato chips. Knowing that, I like to believe that I can enjoy snacking in a much healthier way, without sacrificing flavor or crunch. In my opinion, these chips are also much more filling than regular potato chips. With potato chips, you intake way more sodium because you can’t stop eating them. But with these cassava chips, you eat a handful of chips and you’re satiated until your next urge for some more snacks. It’s also nice to discover that you actually have some left over chips in the bag. These chips make me feel better about snacking and give me comfort in that what I’m eating is healthy and satisfying. These cassava chips may have rid me of eating potato chips forever! I imagine these to be great with dip. Any suggestions?
