Have you ever visited one of those musty older shops in Chinatown, that smell of dust and old cardboard and stale incense? Unfortunately that particular odor was what sprang to mind when I opened the package of heated Thai-Style Lime Pilaf this afternoon. When I purchase the pilaf two days ago I was very excited because I love Thai food, I love lime, and I love Coconut Milk. This pilaf tastes of none of that, despite what the package says. It was bland rice and no more. This is the first time I’ve been disappointed in a TJ’s product. 🙁
