• 1 medium onion – chopped • 1 container of mushrooms • 1 garlic clove – minced • Trader Joe’s Turkey Meatballs • Trader Joe’s Mozzarella Cheese Log – slice it up! • Trader Joe’s Parmesan cheese • Garlic salt • Trader Joe’s Pizza Sauce • Trader Joe’s pizza dough • Salt and pepper • Basil • Cooking spray Preheat oven to 425 degrees and set the dough out at room temperature (about 20 minutes) as it makes the dough easier to work with. Spray a skillet with the cooking spray and sauté the mushrooms, onion and garlic. Add salt, pepper and basil. Set aside the sautéed veggies. Cook the turkey meatballs in the microwave according to package instructions. Cool the meatballs and slice the meatballs in ‘pepperoni’ shape. Once the dough is ready, get a rolling pin and roll out to about ½ inch. We enjoy large Stromboli’s so I usually take that and cut in half (you can also cut to fourths for smaller servings). In the center of the rolled dough, spoon some of the Trader Joe’s pizza sauce to your liking. Then, take 4-5 slices of the mozzarella on top of the sauce and add the sautéed veggies and the meatballs on top of the cheese. Top that with some of the extra slices of mozzarella. When the Stromboli is nice and stuffed, fold the Stromboli like an envelope. Place the Stromboli on a cooking pan sprayed with cooking spray. Take a handful of the parmesan cheese and sprinkle on top of the folded Stromboli – add a couple of shakes of the garlic salt. Place the Stromboli in the oven for about 12-15 minutes depending on your oven. The Stromboli should be nice and crisp – serve with a side of Trader Joe’s pizza sauce for dipping. The Stromboli stuffing can be varied to use Trader Joe’s meatless meatballs, Trader Joe’s chicken breasts or just plain veggie!
