Jumping Cow Amber Ale

jumping_cow.jpgHanging on to the last little bit of summer? Grab a Jumping Cow Amber Ale. Just like the golden sunsets of early autumn, this ale is sweet and smooth as a summer day, tawny and crisp as a fall morning. Jumping Cow is the perfect September beer—a blend of sweet malt and tangy hops in a delicious amber ale. Trader Joe’s really knows how to stock its beer aisle this time of year, but Jumping Cow is easily my fall favorite.

Its creamy malt flavor is streaked with undertones of citrus hops. Like most amber ales, this beer goes down nice and easy. One of its most alluring characteristics is its perfect carbonation. The Jumping Cow Amber Ale goes down so smooth you’ll be seeing jumping cows if you don’t keep track of how many you’ve had.

The autumnal shades of copper and gold are a beautiful contrast to this beer’s ample head. The foam has excellent retention and laces a glass like a draft beer. If you like pale ales but are feeling the urge to try something with a little more body, give Jumping Cow a try.
