Spring 2009: Recipe Challenge Winners

tomato.jpgWe thank everyone for submitting really super recipes… We are proud to announce the winners of the April & May 2009 recipe challenges. We have to pipe in, however, that we are getting the "usual suspect" — step UP!!!

 

  

April Winners

Pancetta Pasta Primavera. We *know* we’re not the only ones constantly passing the fresh, diced pancetta in the dairy case and saying "ooohhh, yummy but what do we do with it?" This truly delicious pasta features a harmonious blend of pancetta, asparagus, peas and cream. It’s easy enough to make on a week night but fancy enough to impress your date. llijchef deserves the gold for April and wins a $25 gift certificate to Amazon.com. 

Demo Divo strikes again. Easy Gazpacho? Yes, we promise just 3 ingredients and you are done! Peggy reports: "very easy to make. Taste great. Also used in blender for cool drink adding yodka." Good idea.

Give brussel sprouts a chance and try this Roasted Brussel Sprouts recipe from mollyaqua. Guess what? You can use some pancetta from the Pancetta Pasta Primavera recipe here. The walnuts do give a nice nutty flavor. Thumbs up!
