Ingredients: –1 medium sized onion -3 cups shredded red and green cabbage –2 granny smith apples –1/4 cup olive oil –1/8 cup lemon juice –1/8 cup apple cider vinegar –1/8 cup dried cherries –1/8 cup dried cranberries –pinch cinammon –1/4 cup brown sugar –1/2 cup crushed walnuts –dash salt and pepper Step 1: saute onion in large skillet until carmelized Step 2: add cabbage and apples and saute for 4-5 minutes until mixture softened Step 3–add dried fruit, nuts, cinammon, brown sugar, 1/3 cup water and stir mixture well before covering the pan. allow ingredients to simmer on low heat for approximately 10 minutes and serve.
