All Trader Joe’s ingredients make this pasta sauce modification so easy and who can beat a tasty meal in less than 30 minutes? It can be a challenge to get my husband to eat veggies, so I’ve gotten pretty sneaky at hiding them in dishes. The recipe is very flexible, so modify to your liking. Ingredients – 1/2 large package of sliced mushrooms – 1 jar of Vodka Marinara Sauce (red label) – 3/4 cup of frozen chopped spinach – 1/4 cup grated parm / romano blend – 1/2 package of frozen meatless meatballs (or the frozen regular meatballs) – 2 basil frozen cubes – 1 pound of the Italian Imported penne in the brown bag (or your favorite pasta) – grated parm / romano to top Directions: – Saute sliced mushrooms in a medium saucepan over medium heat – Start salted water for pasta – Add jar of vodka marina to sauted mushrooms – Once the sauce is warm stir in the frozen meatballs and frozen spinach and let simmer at medium / low heat for at least 15 minutes – Cook pasta – Stir in grated cheese and basil cubes to sauce – Drain pasta well – Serve pasta, sauce and top with cheese Serves 3-4 as a main course
