Homemade Sweet and Salty Maple Almond Granola and TJ’s Greek Yogurt Cantaloupe Parfait

Most granolas are high in calories and fat. After experimenting his recipe keeps the fat and calorie content lower than most you find in food stores while keeping an amazing homemade, addictive, granola flavor. Plus it’s really easy to make! Add in some of TJ’s Greek Yogurt and some fresh Cantaloupe and you have an amazing healthy breakfast or snack! To Make Granola: Sweet and Salty Granola Makes about 5 cups of granola 3 Cups of Old Fashioned Oats (not instant) 1/2 Cup Slivered Almonds (8oz bag from TJ’s) 1/2 Cup Sunflower Seeds unsalted 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Coconut flakes/shavings 1/3 Cup Brown Sugar 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/3 Cup Olive Oil 2/3 Cup Trader Joe’s 100% pure Maple Syrup Preheat Oven to 300 degrees. Mix all ingredients together so everything is combined well. Spread the mixture on a cookie sheet that has sides. (not the kind that is completely flat or the granola will spill out) Bake for 45 minutes stirring every so often to loosen the granola. Let cool for 15 minutes before eating. Carefully break apart with a fork once cooled. To prepare parfait: 3/4 Cup TJ’s Greek Yogurt 0% 1/3 Cup Sweet and Salty Maple Granola Agave Sweetener 3/4 Cantaloupe In a tall glass spoon in a sprinkling of sweet and salty granola; just to cover the bottom of the glass. Then add 1/2 the amount of TJ’s Greek Yogurt. In a criss cross pattern, top the yogurt with agave, about 1/2 tsp and top with 1/2 of the cantaloupe serving. Make a new layer by then sprinkling more granola on top of the cantaloupe and add the remaining TJ’s Greek Yogurt. Finish with another layer of agave and cantaloupe and the remaining granola and agave on top to taste.
