Viennese Lemon Tart

I love this puckery lemon pie – great consistency, somewhat that of a cheesecake (I have never cared for lemon meringue pie). It’s about the typical size of a cheesecake, and was in the ‘fresh’ baked good section near the front of the store – not frozen. Crust is typical pie crust, but nice. Would make a very elegant ‘company’ dessert. It is also not terribly sweet, if you’re an anti-sugar type. And if you need to increase the sweetness factor, sprinkling some sugar or splenda on it fixes that problem! The high jolt of lemon makes you feel like you’re eating something healthy while also enjoying a special treat. Also very reasonably priced at $6 bucks. This immediately landed on the ‘must buy’ section of our TJ shopping list!
