My reason for traveling to Trader Joe’s has always been to buy more jars of Dish of the Monk, along with some of the stuffed pastas. If someone is coming for dinner, I boil the pasta, open the jar and upend Dish of the Monk over it and voila, a fabulous dish. BUT, Trader Joe’s has discontinued the product!!! How could they?? Not enough of you guys buying it. How come? It’s a combination of roasted red peppers, eggplant, some other wonderful things and flavors in olive oil. I’m bereft without it. I’ll never entertain again.
